Piglet

Baby is turning into a little piglet! A little, warm, comfy, happy, piglet. I have apparently made her a very nice home and now she doesn't want to come out. I've even tried walking her out a couple of times - to no avail.

On Sunday, we walked for 3 miles, up hills & stairs... no baby. Today, we went shopping and walked around for 3 1/2 hours... no baby. Not even any good braxton hicks - I guess the movement makes her happy. (note to self - when screaming baby won't stop screaming, go for a walk)

So, I'm going to my "overdue" doctor appointment tomorrow afternoon. We'll schedule a non-stress test and maybe an ultrasound to make sure the piglet is still doing ok and that I can sustain her growth for a bit longer without compromise to either of us. Fun times.

But, as anxious as I am to get this show on the road, I am planning on a drug-free birth and we (me, Chris & piglet) have decided that any talks about induction will be purely from a health standpoint - not for convenience. I'm sure doc would be happy to send me to labor & delivery tomorrow but, we'll just wait it out and let nature take it's course. Heck - if I can still walk around for 3 1/2 hours without any problems, I'd say I'm doing pretty good.

But, it would be cool if she was born tomorrow - her birthday would be 04-05-06!

Happy April!

Looks like this little girl isn't quite ready to join the ranks of the Lynn/Hughson family. *sigh*

But, let's look on the bright side:

1. She'll be the only one in our family with an April birthday

2. I was able to make a mad dash for the police department today and have the car seat installed by someone who actually knows what they're doing (1 day before I'm due - maybe she was just waiting for me to get that done)

3. She'll be a chubby, healthy, pinchy cheeks, munchkin butt

4. Her birthstone is now a DIAMOND! Obviously, listening to classical music through my tummy has already made her a VERY smart little girl! :) I'm sure her future boyfriends & husband will thank me for this later. lol

As for me...I am now a woolly mammoth. I have 3 shirts that fit and 1 pair of jeans. I only wear shoes that do not require socks. I can't bend over far enough to release the emergency break in the Explorer. My bags are packed and the house is clean. We have stocked up on enough canned food & quick meals to last us through the end of August. The nursery is done...

holy crap - my water just broke!!!!

APRIL FOOLS!!!!!! :) hee-hee
